The ADE7854, ADE7858, ADE7868, and ADE7878 from Analog Devices are high accuracy, 3-phase electrical energy measurement ICs with serial interfaces and three flexible pulse outputs. Incorporated into these devices are second-order sigma-delta (Σ-?) analogue-to-digital converters (ADCs), a digital integrator and reference circuitry. In addition these ICs have the signal processing required to perform energy measurement and rms calculations. A fixed function digital signal processor (DSP) executes this processing, with the DSP program being stored in the internal ROM memory. Features.
