It receives input in the form of voltage, current, thermocouple and resistance thermometer. The expansion module takes input from thermocouples like type E, J, K, L and N. There is a front panel connector for actuators or sensors. Connectors can be coded according to the application, thus preventing the connection of an incorrect unit. Data is stored centrally in the system, hence when a module is removed/replaced, data is automatically sent to the new module, removing the possible set-up errors.
