ESD can also cause melting of metal, oxide failure and junction breakdown. When assembled, this kit makes a workspace into an ESD-protected area, enabling you to work safely with any type of electronic device. Included in the kit is an anti-static mat which doubles up as a work surface. To minimise the risk of static electricity a coiled cord, an adjustable wristband and a ground cord is also supplied. There are two types of kit available ??European and UK ??and each one comes with corresponding plugs.
