The switch has a solenoid interlock without a positive-linked mechanical locking mechanism. The forced-closed operating principle of the MZM100 switch offers multiple advantages. Mechanical wear becomes a thing of the past because of the absence of moving parts. The actuator and locking mechanism are free from play and therefore, neutralise undesired noise, even in machines with high vibrations. Despite the absence of play between actuator and interlock, the system tolerates large door misalignments. The smooth surface of this actuator and interlock furthermore provide for the simplicity in cleaning. Multiple safety switchgear can be monitored using one safety-monitoring module, without detriment to the safety level, saving money and clearing space in the control cabinet.
