Electric motors need protection from phase unbalances, current overload and losses, circuit breakers or MPCBs offer motor protection and prevent short circuits by disconnecting the current. Thermal protection guards against overload, magnetic protection protects against short circuits and faults and phase protection guards against phase loss or imbalance.
