It consists of three contacts, along with a timer and a thermal overload to prevent it overheating. The star-delta has an operating temperature range of -25°C to +60°C. You can fit your starter motor with an overload to protect against electrical surges, but this one is supplied without. Select a compatible overload from the RF38 series (for example stock no. 685-1309) to match the full-load current of your motor. Star-delta motor starters control winding currents only and are RoHS compliant, meaning they dont include harmful levels of hazardous substances. Its moulded plastic case is IP65 rated, so theres full protection against dust and high-pressure water jets from any direction.
