This type of plug is commonly used in low-voltage applications like computing and telecommunications. Gold-plated contacts maximise conductivity. The 30% glass-filled polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) housing gives it strength and functions as an excellent insulator. This heat-resistant connector can work up to +105?C and down to -40?C. Its voltage rated at 500 V dc and amp rated at 1 A. The plugs been tested against international standards to ensure it wont damage equipment via electrostatic discharge (ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007).
