It has smooth jaws to prevent damage and is made from stainless steel for easy cleaning. The jaw openings are 13mm apart. The clamping force at the jaws is 4±.5 lbs (1.8±.2kg) at .25in (6mm) jaw spread. The large versions of these clips, called automotive clips or battery clamps, are made of solid copper.
