Use Scotch-Brite??Ultra Fine Hand Pad 7448+ instead of fine steel wool, to condition metal surfaces and to prepare for painting. Scotch-Brite Ultra Fine pads are filled with tightly graded silicon carbide abrasive, a very sharp synthetic mineral that??s typically used for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation. The tightly graded particles deliver a consistent, uniform abrasive action for the entire lifespan of the pad and the mineral breaks down faster than aluminium oxide for a superior finish. They??re designed for ease of use, reaching into tight corners and intricate detailed surfaces, without changing the size of the base material. Use for cleaning, finishing and buffing with no need to adjust, turn over or replace the pad mid-task.
