It can be used to lock cabinets. The cabinet lock is formed from die-cast zinc for corrosion resistance, while the wing knob is over-moulded with black polyamide for insulation and comfortable hand turning. Its designed for a 28.5 mm grip and is supplied with a rubber gasket for a better seal, as well as a fixing nut. As part of the reliable RS PRO range, the latch has been stringently tested by engineers to ensure its safety and reliability. It conforms to the American National Standards Institutes Electrostatic Discharge Association (ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014) standard, and British Standard European Norm (BS EN 61340-5-1:2007) electrostatic discharge standards. Its also RoHS compliant, meaning it contains only minimal levels of hazardous substances.
